In an effort to raise $2,500 for Aspire – a nonprofit Illinois organization that serves children and adults with developmental disabilities – Meatheads Burgers & Fries recently kicked off a campaign to inspire 10,000 random acts of kindness. Beginning February 28, for every random act of kindness (a selfless act meant to cheer up or assist another person) either posted on Meatheads’ Facebook wall, shared on Twitter via the #meatheadsact hash tag or e-mailed to act@meatheadsburgers.com, the Meatheads’ group of Illinois-based family restaurants will donate 25 cents per pledge. According to Tom Jednorowicz, managing partner of Meatheads, “As a restaurant with a goal of ingraining ourselves into each community we serve, we thought this would be a great way to work with our customers and neighbors in helping such a great cause.”
